Command & Conquer 4 has become the newest PC game to require users to be connected to the Internet at all times to play the game. Jeff Green, a first
party blogger for EA, posted on his Twitter saying, "Booted twice—and progress lost—on my single-player C&C4 game because my DSL
connection blinked. DRM fail. We need new solutions." He then took back his comments, kind of, by saying if we treat C&C4 as an online only game,
then the DRM makes sense or something. These new DRM tactics by Ubisoft and EA are so ridiculous. I know they are trying to prevent piracy, but people
can still crack the game, and in my opinion, it is increasing piracy! PC gamers don't want to be treated like three year-olds. I'm very against this
new treatment of PC gamers. It started with Modern Warfare 2, and now is getting worse with these new DRM tactics. Publishers need to figure something
out to combat piracy, but I assure you this isn't the way to go.
