Hothead Games’ hilarious downloadable RPG DeathSpank only came out last month, but Electronic Arts announced today that the sequel, DeathSpank: Thongs of Virtue, will be coming to PlayStation Network ($14.99) on September 21 and Xbox Live Arcade (1200 Microsoft Points) on September 22. It seems soon sense the game came out so soon. The hilarious nature of the first game will have gamers wanting more and the sequel seems to fill this void. Look for our review on DeathSpank Thongs of Virtue when it launches.

The onslaught of FIFA '11 news continues at Baxy-Z, with the first official trailer for FIFA '11. This trailer shows off a lot of the new features for FIFA '11. Oh yeah, did we mention the entire trailer was captured in game? That makes it even more impressive.

Since many of the writers at Baxy-Z (okay, just myself) really love the FIFA series, we sat down with the executive producer of FIFA '11. David Rutter, a.k.a. the man who saved the FIFA series, was kind enough to answer some questions from the staff, and some questions from some readers. Hit the jump to see the Q&A.

Since EA releases different box art all around the globe for the FIFA series, it is always kind of exciting to see who will be on the cover in your specific territory. The image above will be the box art for the game when it is released in North America.
Not surprising, Landon Donovan graces the cover. He was the hero of the American side in the World Cup over the summer. Also featured on the cover is Brazilian superstar Kaka, who plays for Real Madrid, and Carlos Vela, the Mexican striker who plays for Arsenal.
What are your thoughts on the North American boxart?

As you are reading this, the Mafia II demo is now out for the Xbox 360, PS3, and is available for the PC through Steam. This is a game a lot of people have had on their radar for a while, and now they get a chance to play it.
I know I've been watching this game like a hawk. Something about playing as the mob always attracts my attention. We'll have our impressions up about the game in the next couple of days. Stay tuned!

For those of you that are looking forward to Shaun White Skateboarding, then you should be pleased to hear that Ubisoft have released a new trailer for the game.

You can check out the trailer above. Shaun White Skateboarding will be available this Fall.

We were lucky enough to have a great interview with the minds behind the recently released Deathspank on Xbox Live Arcade and PSN. We talked to Darren Evenson, lead designer and Hamish Millar, producer of the title. Baxy-Z: How awesome was the room where they all sat down and came up with weapons in the game? Evenson: Well as I recall we had pie that day and that’s pretty nice. Apple maybe? I want to say apple. Continued after the jump.

The sequel for Batman: Arkham Asylum was announced a while back, but now we have the official title. Batman: Arkham City will be released this fall. Game Informer has information on the sequel in their next issue. The image above is the cover, and it looks awesome! The game will take place in the streets of Gotham as Arkham patients have escaped and are terrorizing the city. Rocksteady says there will be another all-star cast of characters and villains. Other than that, we don't know much about the game. We will when the September issue of Game Informer hits store shelves. We'll be sure to update you on what we find out. Until then, enjoy the image above!

Above you will see the opening cinematic for the upcoming game, Fable III. It is a pretty interesting video, considering it follows a chicken around getting into all kinds of mischief. Reminds me of a 1980's children's cartoon. Anyway, here it is. Are you excited for Fable III? I know I am, I can't wait to be king (cue Lion King soundtrack).

EA has done a lot of work on FIFA '11 this year. One area they are improving is the Manager Mode, which has been completely gutted, and replaced with Career Mode. You can select to be a player (Be-A-Pro), player manager (Manager Mode and Be-A-Pro combined) and manager (standard manager mode). In the video, above, you can see that the team has put in a ton of work into the career mode. David Rutter goes over a lot of features they have improved with FIFA '11. Also, it looks like you'll be able to choose the goal keeper as a player in Be-A-Pro! Sounds interesting.
Stay tuned to Baxy-Z as we'll be posting our interview with Mr. Rutter himself in the next couple of days.

So far, 2010 has been an amazing year for video games. Top quality releases have been released on a scale never before seen outside a Christmas period, with every system playing host to some incredible titles. This is my personal top 10 so far, listed alphabetically to avoid making the choice any more difficult.

Are you super pumped for the 3DS? Are you ready for Nintendo to tell you the release date and the pricing for the newest handheld from Nintendo? Well, instead of just announcing the release date and price, Nintendo is making it a huge event to let you know. This event is going to happen September 29th. So yes, instead of just telling you the release date, Nintendo is getting you hyped up, to announce the release date. Sigh! Make sure you are at a computer on September 29th. We'll let you know the release date of the 3DS, if we can pull ourselves away from FIFA '11, which comes out the day before.

Bungie has released a new trailer for Halo: Reach. This is called "The Battle Begins," which focuses on the single player aspect of the game. The trailer is pretty awesome, with some great orchestral music from Mary O'Donnell.
Graphics wise, the game is shaping up really well. It is by far the best looking Halo game. Cherish this game forever folks. It will be Bungie's last Halo effort.
